Friends, even if climate alarmism were empirically justified (and it’s not), 16-year-old Greta Thunberg, the figurehead of the “School Strike for Climate” movement, would not, by her trumpeting its message, be a successor to Jesus Christ. Jesus is God in human flesh. She is merely human. He came to save sinners. She is one. He paid the penalty for our sins on the cross. She did not and could not. He is the very Logos (wisdom, logic, reason) of God, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. She is a child tragically misled by people exploiting her for political and economic gain. Pray for the churches, pray for your brothers and sisters in Christ all around the world, not to be led astray. And please pray for the Cornwall Alliance as we strive to “destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ” (2 Corinthians 10:5). And when you pray for us, please, also, take this opportunity to make a generous donation to help us do that. From now to the end of October, as our way of saying “Thank you!” for a donation of ANY size, we’ll send you a copy of our new booklet, Warren Cole Smith’s Clear Thinking about Climate Change. Smith, a genius of a writer, makes a clear case, one that non-specialists can understand and pass on to others, that human-induced climate change, though real, is probably small, benign, even beneficial, and that spending trillions of dollars to reduce it is folly of the highest order. To receive your copy of Clear Thinking about Climate Change, just make your donation at our secure online site, or by mailing a check to Cornwall Alliance, 3712 Ringgold Rd. #355, Chattanooga, TN 37412, or phoning us at 423-500-3009 and leaving us your phone number so we can call back for your credit card information. In any case, be sure to ask for Clear Thinking about Climate Change and mention Promo Code 1910. Thanks! |
